Use an example to explain.

I use these commands to download bart-large:
git lfs install
git clone [facebook/bart-large · Hugging Face](https://huggingface.co/facebook/bart-large)

The downloaded repo has size of 11 GB. The size of .git/lfs alone is 5.2 GB. I remove the objects under .git/lfs and still can load the models from the local bart-large folder. This makes me wonder if I just want to use the current version of models and will not modify the repo, do I still need objects under .git/lfs?

Hey @incameet

This would be a question for the Hub section of our forum 🙂

Have a look at [this documentation page](https://huggingface.co/docs/huggingface_hub/how-to-downstream).
