# Delete Single File from huggingface?

I have been using remote upload to upload files onto the website.

How do I delete a single file from huggingface or a single folder from my repository on huggingface?

Github has this feature, not sure why/how huggingface doesn’t have this feature \< This comment provides site feedback.

Hi, you can use the [`delete_file`](https://huggingface.co/docs/huggingface_hub/v0.14.0.rc0/en/package_reference/hf_api#huggingface_hub.HfApi.delete_file) or [`delete_folder`](https://huggingface.co/docs/huggingface_hub/v0.14.0.rc0/en/package_reference/hf_api#huggingface_hub.HfApi.delete_folder) function from the [huggingface\_hub](https://huggingface.co/docs/huggingface_hub/v0.14.0.rc0/en/index) library to programmatically delete a file or folder.

Or if you prefer, you can delete it directly from the Hub UI:
