Educational chest radiograph practice
Step 1

Practice chest X-ray reading

This is an educational workstation for chest radiographs. Choose one of the labeled practice studies or open a de-identified CR/DX image. The first study may take about a minute while the on-demand GPU starts.

  • Use the viewer controls to zoom, pan, invert, rotate, and adjust windowing.
  • The app is for deliberate practice, not diagnosis or clinical use.
Step 2

Commit a blind read

A blind read is your interpretation before seeing AI or reference findings. Describe image quality, observations, and your impression in normal language, then lock the read.

  • Example: "PA chest. Cardiomediastinal silhouette is enlarged. No focal airspace opacity."
  • Locking the read prevents hindsight from changing what you initially saw.
Step 3

Compare independent evidence

X-Raydar classification scores and MedGemma regions are shown separately so you can see which model produced each suggestion. A score ranks a classifier finding; it is not a diagnosis or calibrated certainty.

  • Click a region to focus it. You can fade, hide, remove, and restore overlays.
  • Use the question-mark controls beside numbers for their source, unit, and meaning.
Step 4

Ask the radiology professor

MedGemma 27B receives the image, available DICOM metadata, your blind read, X-Raydar findings, and MedGemma regions. Ask it to explain a miss, compare evidence, build a differential, or quiz you.
